As Co-Founder and Performance Director of SPEAR Training, Jonathan designs and implements high-performance systems for professional, Olympic, and elite-level athletes across multiple sports. Jonathan is distinguished as one of a select global cohort of Poliquin Level 5 Master Strength Coaches, a credential reserved for practitioners who have prepared athletes for Olympic, World Championship, and top-tier professional performance. This designation reflects not only advanced technical mastery, but a documented record of real-world competitive impact.

Jonathan Sicora is not a trainer — he is a performance asset. He provides objective performance strategy, risk reduction on human capital, performance ROI on contracts, and long-term durability frameworks designed to protect and enhance elite athletic careers. He serves as a trusted performance resource to athletes across the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, Olympic sports, and elite collegiate pipelines. Jonathan holds a B.S. in Exercise Science and Fitness from Western Illinois University with a minor in Chemistry, and maintains advanced credentials including Poliquin Level 5 Master Strength Coach, BioSignature Level 2, Fascial Stretch Specialist (Level 3), NASM Performance Enhancement and Corrective Exercise Specialist, Metabolic Analytics Specialist, and Certified Cupping Therapist.

Jeff McCoy
Co-Founder / Director of Operations

Jeff McCoy is the Co-Founder and Director of Operations at SPEAR Training Center and a veteran performance coach with over 20 years of practical, results-driven experience in strength training, athletic development, and injury prevention.

A former West Virginia University football player, Jeff developed his coaching philosophy in high-level competitive environments before applying those principles to athletes and everyday individuals alike. He holds the NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) designation, is a Poliquin International Certified Level 4 Coach (PICP), and has completed advanced education in corrective exercise, program design, and long-term athletic development through organizations such as Kilo, NASM, Stretch to Win, and FRC. 

Jeff is known for blending elite performance standards with intelligent progression, ensuring clients of all levels train safely while achieving measurable strength, resilience, and confidence. Through SPEAR, his mission is to deliver professional-grade coaching, build durable bodies, and create a culture where performance training is accessible, structured, and sustainable for life.

Adam Bailey, CSCS, USAW-L1
Strength Coach

Adam Bailey, CSCS, USAW-L1 is a strength and conditioning coach who specializes in developing youth, high school, and collegiate athletes through disciplined, principle-based training. His approach emphasizes proper movement, progressive strength development, and long-term athletic durability.

Before joining Spear Training Center, Adam served as Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at Bo Jackson’s Elite Sports, where he designed individualized programs, led semi-private training sessions, and implemen

ted performance testing to guide progression and track results. He also gained collegiate experience at Aurora University, working with multiple NCAA Division III teams.

With a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Adam brings a structured, results-driven coaching style aligned with SPEAR’s focus on mastering fundamentals, earning progression, and building resilient athletes capable of sustained performance.

Tygar TeSelle
Lead Coach

Tygar grew up competing in Olympic Weightlifting and track and field as both a sprinter and jumper, developing an early fascination with athletic excellence and performance. This foundation led him to pursue a career in strength and conditioning, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and becoming a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).

He brings a proven background in elite performance training, including coaching Division I athletes at the University of North Carolina, as well as hands-on experience with prehabilitation and rehabilitation protocols through work in physical therapy clinics and at RUSH Hospital Sports Medicine.

Specializing in strength, power, speed, hypertrophy, and fat loss, Tygar integrates science-based programming with proven performance systems, including KILO, USAW, Conjugate, and Poliquin methodologies. His experience in sports rehabilitation and orthopedics provides a deep understanding of movement quality, injury prevention, and long-term athletic development.
